Farewell to Saturdays

Heads up that Leya and I have decided to cancel Saturday book club, and continue only with Tuesdays - at least for the rest of The Paleo Solution book.  There's been a pretty low turn out on Saturday, whereas Tuesday has been a really great, consistent group of folks!

This week, Leya will talk about Leaky Guts and hopefully be successful in scaring you off grains.  After which, I'll swoop in and save the day by making fat your friend again.  Looking forward to Tuesday. C y'all soon!!

GOOOOOO RIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday Book Club Rocks Too!

Super full house today with 10 nutrition nerds here (+ Leya, Chris, and myself), and 2 online NN's (Paul & Taryn!).  We missed having Sarah K's super smart self here to talk about insulin, but we muddled through alright.  We didn't end off the night by talking about poop this week, but there was some chatter about Doritos and hotdogs, which are almost as gross as poop... and we learned that Chris is "the ice-cream guy".  All good times!

Next week Leya and I will be far less 'teachy', as the material isn't nearly as technical.

FOR NEXT WEEK:

We'll be discussing Chapters 4&5.  If you can't make it to CFR for book club on Saturday, please come to the Tunison house on Tuesday evening!  We'll try to have some discussion questions up before Saturday.  I heart book club. Thanks to everyone who came out on this snowy evening!

Y'ALL ROCK!

You know when you wake up hearing your favourite song on the radio, then you put your pants on and they feel a bit looser than the day before.  You hit all green lights on the way to work, and you're just feeling awesome?!

Well, that's how Nutrition Nerds Unite book club was at CFR this morning.  With a special shout out to Sarah K for talking about how to avoid "chasing insulin" (love it!), demonstrating with a kick-ass - yet so simple! diagram - and for everyone else who came out to chat, listen, ask questions.   Today was EXACTLY what I hoped for when we started this modest little group.

We're all geared up for round two on Tuesday evening for anyone who wasn't able to make it today.  Leya has all the kinks worked out of the online classroom, so that should be up and running for 8:30pm Tuesday evening.

Invitations to online classroom are off!

Hey folks,

I've got the classroom set up on www.wiziq.com.  Invitations have been sent out, hopefully with info on how to access the classroom, to the email addresses that were forwarded to me.  It's set for 8:00p.m. Central Saskatchewan time (Ruth and Diane) with things actually kicking off at 8:30.

If there are any issues with getting onto it, please email us at nutritionbookclub@gmail.com.  We'll be checking the email a few times that night just in case you need to get a hold of us.
