Let us preface this post by saying, you DON'T have to eat paleo, believe in paleo, or for that matter even know what paleo is in order to join/benefit/enjoy/participate in this book club. There is a ridiculous amount of great information in this book - regardless of whether or not you feel the "paleo diet" is for you.
The Plan (starting end of October/early November):
Meeting 1: Chapters 1 – 3 (macros, insulin)
Meeting 2: Chapters 4, 5 (digestion, normal/fasted/overfed, fructose , cholesterol/blood pressure, disease)
Meeting 3: Chapters 6, 7 (leaky gut, grains, gluten, lectins, phytates, fat)
Meeting 4: Chapter 8, 9 (stress, cortisole, and fitness)
Meeting 5: Chapters 10 -12 (implementation, tracking, meal plan)
Meeting 6: Chapter 13 (supplementation, Paleo Feast!)
Then, we'll take a break over Christmas, and start a new book in January. Options for our 2nd book are:
Member Q's & A's Coming Soon....
Yay! I ordered my copy last week and it's on the way, in the snail mail! The topics look great, can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is interested, I could set up a digital classroom on my laptop (using the cam and mic and a neat little web service) so that people can participate via the web. Just an idea.
ReplyDeleteBoooooYeeeeA!....Digital classroom,I like it.I can barely spell Digital but I like it;)
ReplyDeleteFor anyone thinking about ordering the book, I just got an email from Borders that the Paleo Solution is on backorder...so I ordered it from Barnes & Noble instead! (Plus, it was cheaper)
ReplyDeletePaul, I love that idea!
ReplyDeleteOkay, totally missed this post. This book was on my Christmas list, perhaps an early present to myself is in order.
ReplyDeleteLove that idea too Paul! Being somewhat technically challenged, a demo would be great. Would we have to set anything up on our end ahead of time?
ReplyDeleteJust an good Internet connection. And then we would probably need the email addresses of anyone who wished to join us via the web.
